Wolf Man

Kicks ass. Period.

I mean, we've all seen werewolf films, and though this one is tinged with more gore than I expect to see in a 15 rated movie, it was an awesome spectacle. Whether it's the painful looking and sounding transformations, the guts ripping out, the two decapitations, the feral werewolf child diving at the screen... this is thrilling gory horror with jumpy bits and drawn out bits, with a teeny bit of romance thrown in. Therefore it is monster movie at its best.

Watching this film not only brought me out of my flu-induced stupor, but sheer glee at the performances of Benicio Del Toro (who is tubby yet slightly sexy), Hugo Weaving (I literally bum him to death) and Anthony Hopkins (the deity that he is) brought my voice back a little bit. So I love this movie for all those reasons. Woopee.

Watch it if you like thrilling gory horror. You won't shit your pants but you'll get close. Don't watch if you hate needles or scenes of gore / torture.

Peace out xxx
